THE ESSENTIAL MUST HAVES FOR FALL 2012 MENS AND WOMENS
Mens Fashion - fall 2012
As the years have gone by, men's fashion has become more sophisticated. Attention to detail is now key in an everyday man's life. Whether it be going to work, school, or just hanging around town, there is an essential uniform that must be met. This season, there are several staple items that should be in every man's wardrobe. The following items are the must haves for fall 2012.
Field Jacket
An essential to stand out from the windbreakers that have flooded the streets these past couple of fall seasons. The field jacket is the resurgent outerwear of this fall 2012 season no matter what. It has a longstanding style pedigree that is classic and durable.

Fair Isle Sweater
The last in our triumvirate of traditional British fabrics is best livened up with some non-traditional colors and patterns — not to mention a little cashmere. Still, even the most traditional of Fair Isles are a welcome addition to any monochrome fall wardrobe.

Military Boots
Last fall, hiking boots were everywhere. The year before that it was Bean boots. For this season, military-inspired lace-ups were a natural — and damn-fine looking — progression. So much so that they became the single biggest story of the runway: Whether designers took their inspiration from soldiers who marched by foot, climbed atop horses, or rode motorcycles, there was a pair of lug-sole boots stomping down every nearly catwalk from Milan to New York. Either way, it's pretty clear that men have preferred a substantial boot of late because of how long it lasts, not to mention the variety of prices.

Women's fashion - fall 2012
Who says grade schoolers should have all the fun when it comes to autumnal shopping? This year's back-to-school list includes strong silhouettes, statement jackets, and luxurious accessories that make saying goodbye to summer blissfully simple.
Leather
A leather jacket is nothing new, but the utilitarian-yet-luxe fabric claimed an even bigger role in this fall's collections. Whether vamped up as a dress, or ready to rumble as slick pants, there's something for everyone.
Turtlenecks
Many a designer is forecasting a chilly fall, sending additional coverage out for our perusing in the form of chin-grazing turtlenecks. Always approved for oversized, chunky knits, the new version is slim, sleek, and sophisticated.
Oxblood
And it's official: The color of the season is seductive oxblood. More cerebrally sensual than its tarty firetruck-red cousin, the muddied burgundy works as a statement accessory or wear-everywhere pieces.
